Plot:
The story centres on the
experiences of two young women, Marie and Sophie, who after tiring of
travelling around the world,
decide to stay in Northern Scotland for a while. When they run out of money,
Sophie pressures Marie into accepting a job as a surrogate mother for the
Earl of Brickling Hall, as his daughter-in-law is unable to have children
herself.
Months on, Marie finds herself
alone, heavily pregnant, and wanting to terminate her pregnancy.
She decides to run from
the future parents, and begins to search for Sophie’s Ex-boyfriend, Ken.
Helen's role is the daughter-in-law
to the Earl of Brickling Hall who hires Marie to be a surrogate mother.

in April 2002 on location in Scotland and at the Film I Väst Trollhättan
Studios in Sweden.
The film is co-financed
by the UK's BBC Films, Film i Väst, and co-produced by Scotland's
Umbrella Productions.
