Helen was one Amongst the thousands of people joined the Million Faces petition from all around the world that included many other famous actors, musicians, footballers, and other celebrities.

Back to Her Roots:
Helen is to play Christine in a Donmar Warehouse production of After Miss Julie, a version of the Strindberg classic Miss Julie. The production premieres on 25 November 2003 and is scheduled to end on 7 February 2004.
 


June

Murder in Mind to be screened:
Helen's latest tv appearance in the Murder in Mind episode, Justice,  will be screened on BBC1 on Thursday 19th June. BBC2 will also be showing the film Ordinary Decent Criminal.

Helen out and about:
Since Helen decided to take a break away from making any long term projects, she has been spotted by photographers buying Economics books at one of London's bookstores (See picture). Reports say that she may be taking a course in the subject at college.
 
 

April:

Helen Baxendale and Robert Bathurst:
Helen recently attended the party for the 1st night of "The 3 Sisters" play by Christopher Hampton at the Playhouse Theatre. The play starred Helen's Cold Feet co-star Robert Bathurst.
 

Helen teaches at London's Actors' Centre:
Speaking at the Actors' Centre in Covent Garden, Helen taught a two-day workshop in the delicate art of sex scenes. Teaching participants how best to handle those type of scenes which they may need to do at some point in their career.

Helen reveals she is on the verge of quitting acting:
As the new series of Cold Feet returns to British screens, It was reported that Helen is considering quitting the world of acting.
In a interview with UK's Now magazine, Helen revealed that her career was affecting her time with her family.
"Now Cold Feet is over I don't feel I want to be taking on big things again. I've come to a bit of an impasse. I just don't want to be away from home for huge periods of time" she says.

For the last four years Helen has rented a house near Manchester, where Cold Feet is filmed, and her parents have driven down to look after her children, whilst her partner, David, is down in London.
"It's not fair on my children, it's not fair on their dad, and it's not fair on my parents".

Helen has a big choice to make regarding her career, "I just don't know where I am in my life. i never really do. I just think you get on with it. I have no great desire to do anything in particular. We'll await and see.

Cold Feet Returns:
The fifth and final series of Cold Feet begins on February 23rd. The series will consist of four 90 minute episodes to be screened on ITV1 on Sundays with repeats on ITV2.

In the new series, we see Adam and Rachel coming to terms with being parents to their new son Matthew, but problems are caused when Rachel doesn't like Adam been involved.
Meanwhile Karen and David are spilt up, and Jenny and Pete are fast discovering that the honeymoon period is over.

Cold Feet Series 5 to be released to buy:
Series 5 of Cold Feet will be released on DVD and Video. The series will hit shelves in the UK after the show is aired on ITV1 on March 25th.

Unsuitable Job For A Woman Re-Runs:
The first series of "An Unsuitable Job For A Woman" will be repeated on UK Satellite channel Granada Plus. The series was last repeated on the channel back in November, but was unfortunately cut by approximately 5 minutes from the beginning of the episodes.
Hopefully this time the full versions will be shown.

Helen to star in BBC drama series "Murder In Mind"
Helen will star in BBC One's "Murder In Mind" in the episode "Justice".

In the episode, Helen will play Helen Robbins, who's estranged husband, Tom (Adrian Dunbar) is convinced his wife's new policeman boyfriend is not only corrupt, but also behind his alleged persecutions by the local gangster.

The series, which is currently filming until march, will take place in and around London and also various other locations across the UK.

The first film in the series, Echoes, starring James Wilby and Tara Fitzgerald, was transmitted in January 2003.
